Member Benefits

UKTIA is, primarily, a forum where members can meet to discuss the problems and issues concerning the travel insurance industry. The meetings are frank and open, and despite that fact that we are all competitors we do agree on common issues and share information that is beneficial to us all.

UKTIA acts as the voice of the members in discussions with Government bodies, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Financial Ombudsman Service, the Association of British Insurers and trade associations such as ABTA.

UKTIA ensures that members are kept up to date with legal and compliance matters concerning our profession.

Other benefits of membership include:

  • Bulletins and updates on industry news
  • Representation within industry, public and press issues
  • Quarterly lunch meetings to review industry trends and events, network informally and make new contacts.
  • Use of the UKTIA logo and name on promotional material.

Upcoming Meeting Dates

Looking ahead to the autumn, our next meeting will take place on Thursday 15 October in the Mountbatten Room, when we are pleased to welcome a speaker from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The meeting will be followed by the annual UKTIA Cocktail Party, always a popular occasion and an excellent opportunity to catch up with fellow members and guests.

Our first meeting of 2027 will be held on Tuesday 26 January, when we return to the Committee Room. We are delighted that our guest speaker will be Lesley Rollo, Chief Executive of dnata UK, and we very much look forward to hearing from her.
